#16 Merino Wool Scarf - Lac

This soft, merino wool scarf is hand-dyed in small batches using the natural dye extract from the secretions of the lac insect (not scientific name is Kerria lacca) which give a deep, rich red. Here is the link to the process for dyeing the scarves.

  • 100% Merino wool
  • 45 cm wide x 158 cm long
  • Limited edition

Slight variations in the colour of the scarf are an inherent part of the process of dyeing with natural dyes. Widths may vary slightly. Scarves are cut from knit fabric and as such a natural roll occurs on the sides; this protects the fabric from fraying.

Caring for your scarf:

If you care for your scarf, it will remain your good (and warm) friend for years to come. Hand wash in mild liquid soap t(we suggest Eucalan) that does not contain harsh detergents. Wash and rinse in water of the same temperature. Roll in a towel to remove excess water and hang to dry out of direct sunlight.
